Fabric A
Fabric B
To make 4 flying geese, you'll need 1 large square (fabric A) and 4 small ones (fabric B). Example: 4" by 2" geese would need a large square 5 1/4", and small squares 2 7/8". Lay 2 of the small squares in opposite corners, right sides together, draw a diagonal line through them, and stitch 1/4" on each side of the line.
Cut apart on the line, and press seams toward the smaller triangles.
Draw a diagonal line on wrong side of each smaller square. With right sides together, lay one of the marked squares on the sewn unit and stitch 1/4 inch on both sides of drawn line. Cut apart on drawn line. Repeat with the remaining unit and the remaining smaller square.
Cut apart on the diagonal lines, press, and you have 4 geese. WOW! Fast and painless!
